Chappaqua Performing Arts Center Announces First Fall Lineup

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Performing Arts Center is set to open its doors.

The new auditorium announced its first 12 plays, concerts and performances for the 2017-2018 season with tickets going on sale Friday, Aug. 11. 

The first performance is by Cyrille Aimee on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m.Aimee is known for integrating the gypsy jazz of Django Reinhardt and Brazilian rhythms to American standards. 

Other performers include an Allman Brothers tribute band, Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets, and screenings of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and "Elf."

The 425-seat Chappaqua Performing Arts Center is located at Chappaqua Crossing. It was built on the campus when it was still the corporate headquarters of Reader's Digest and was previously named the Wallace Auditorium after the publisher's co-founders, Lila and DeWitt Wallace.

The town acquired the auditorium last year from Chappaqua Crossing owner Summit/Greenfield, which is seeking to redevelop other parts of the campus with retail and housing.
