Pleasantville Middle School Hemisphere Day

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Fifth- and sixth-grade students in Pleasantville Middle School readied their passports Friday to travel the globe for the school's annual hemisphere day.

Classrooms throughout the school were tranformed by parents and teachers into Western and Eastern Hemispheres countries such as Italy, Brazil, India, Africa, and Greece.

"In each classroom there’s usually food and there’s usually a bit of a history lesson, and then there’s like an activity or a craft that they can do," said fifth-grade teacher Ashley O'Hara.
