PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pleasantville residents hoping to sleep in Friday morning may have been awakened by the sound of drums as Revolutionary War re-enacters from Bedford Road School marched through the village.

Dressed as Continental soldiers, dozens of flag-bearing fourth-grades left the school at 8:45 a.m. to be led up Manville Road to Soldiers and Sailors Park by parent volunteers.
