Friday, July 20

Pre-School Story Time: 11 a.m. The interactive story time uses picture books, songs, finger plays, action rhymes and other activities to encourage the enjoyment of books and language. Recommended for children ages two-and-a-half to five years old. Mount Pleasant Library, program room. 350 Bedford Road.

Jacob Burns Film Schedule: The film center will screen movies such as "The Intouchables," "Beasts of the Southern Wild," "To Rome with Love" and more. Visit the Jacob Burns website for a complete schedule of movies. 364 Manville Road.

Saturday, July 21

Open Houses: Check out our real estate section to find open houses being held this weekend.

Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Pleasantville Farmers Market returns to Memorial Plaza and will remain open every Saturday until Dec. 15.

Pleasantville Pool: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cool down by going for a swim in the village pool. Lake Street.

Lions Club Hole in One: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Local residents and the general public are invited by the Pleasantville Lions Club to participate in a hole in one golf contest. Prices are $10 for five golf shots and five raffle tickets, or $20 for 12 golf shots and 12 raffle tickets. There will be a $500 cash prize for a hole-in-one in the preliminary round. Players who are closest to the pin will win cash prizes and additional free shots. The five players closest to the pin will take their chance at a $50,000 shout-out. Parkway Field, Marble Avenue.

Sunday, July 22

Pleasantville Pool: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cool down by going for a swim in the village pool. Lake Street.
