PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Here's what's happening at the Jacob Burns Film Center this week:

We have a full slate of new films this week! "Frances Ha," "Something in the Air," "Room 237" and "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" open Friday. Sarah Polley's "Stories We Tell" continues this week.

A late-night screening of "The Comedy" ("Fridays After Dark") takes place Friday at 10 p.m.

Catch three amazing Richard Linklater films: "A Scanner Darkly," "Dazed and Confused," and "Reel Talk" with author John Pierson ("Spike," "Mike," "Slackers" and "Dykes") following "Slacker," on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Don't miss An All-Jobim Bossa Nova Night with Westchester Jazz Orchestra septet, featuring the film "The House of Tom" followed by a live performance from the Westchester Jazz Orchestra septet playing an all-Jobim program, part of "Jazz Sessions," on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Our "Contemporary Arab Cinema" series kicks off with "El Gusto" followed by a reception and live music performed by Zafer Tawil and a tarab ensemble on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
