Powerlifting Meet Scheduled in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Athletes Warehouse and Westchester Barbell Coalition in Pleasantville will host the first powerlifting meet in the Westchester area on Saturday, May 14.

The meet, which was originally planned to be capped at 110 lifters, sold out so fast that there will now be 127 men and women competing in the event.

Two platforms will be simultaneously used on Athletes Warehouse's 6000 square feet of turf space. The event will include the back squat, bench press and dead lift. Admission is $10 for spectators.
