Olympic weightlifters from all over the county and athletes from the tri-state area will compete. Because there has been so much interest from high-school students, Athletes Warehouse added a school-age division.

Local high school athletes Mack Lauder (Horace Greeley High School), Elliot Pickens (Rye Country Day), Liam Haller (Scarsdale High School), Brett Sulema (Fox Lane High School) and Ryan Kozersky (Fox Lane High School) plan to compete.

Former Greeley High School athlete and national competitor Jack Gladstone will compete in the adult division. The Warehouse expects between 50 and 60 lifters are expected to compete from more than 15 different clubs or organizations.

They also expect a crowded field of spectators; in July, more than 200 people attended the event.

The competitions begin at 10 a.m. and will last through the late afternoon.

There is no admission fee. Food and drink will be for sale.

Local business will be present to provide information and services to participants and spectators, including Affinity Performance and Nutrition, Westchester Barbell Coalition, Accel Health and Safety, Proclinx Sports Physical Therapy and Chiropractic, and WML Aquatics.

Athletes Warehouse is at 220 Tompkins Ave. For more information email team@athleteswarehouse.com or call (914)-741-1802.
