PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pleasantville High School and the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps have once again teamed up to sponsor an All-Day Blood Drive scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, at Pleasantville High School.
There is an unending need for blood, and supplies need to be constantly replenished, according to the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The Greater Metropolitan Area alone requires 2,000 units of blood products daily to meet normal needs, according to the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Both whole blood and red cells units will be collected from qualifying candidates. Although this drive makes it convenient for Pleasantville residents to participate, blood donors from all towns are welcome to come to lend their help.
For information or to sign up, call (914) 747-2408 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Donors can also register online at www.nybloodcenter.org.
Although it is helpful if donors let the organizers know in advance that they plan to come in, walk-ins are always accepted.
The blood drive will be from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Pleasantville High School is at 60 Romer Ave,
