The Memorial Day festivities mean fun for families, home town heroes and visitors to Pleasantville. It also means closing many stores and all municipal offices, local and statewide.
The Pleasantville Union Free School District will be off Monday. There will be no Board of Trustees meeting Monday evening at Village Hall. There will also be no garbage and recycling collection on Monday.
The Mount Pleasant Library and Pleasantville Village Hall will also be closed Monday.
Pleasantville's parade begins at 10 a.m. starting at Bedford Road School and traveling down Bedford Road, turning left at Memorial Plaza and ending at the World War II monument. There will be no parking at the Pleasantville train station due to the parade festivities at the WWII monument.
