The Pleasantville Farmers Market returns for the summer season this Saturday.
The market is held in Memorial Plaza next to the Pleasantville Train Station between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. each Saturday through November 23. More than 50 vendors will offer fresh produce, goods and more.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:15 a.m., followed by several events:
- Health and Sustainability Talk: Nutritionist Marina Stopler talks about food and The Village Bookstore has copies of Michael Pollan's “Food Rules” and “Cooked” books for sale between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in this Phelps Memorial Hospital-sponsored event.
- Nannyhagen Creek: Pleasantville's “House Band” performs between 9:30 and 11 a.m.
- Kids' Magic Show: Seth Dale combines magic with comedy between 10 and 11 a.m.
