PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Public Library at 350 Bedford Road in Pleasantville welcomes Susan Antenen, preserve manager for Rockefeller State Park Preserve who will present “Ecological Stewardship in Rockefeller State Park Preserve and Beyond” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

Rockefeller Preserve faces the same land management challenges of other Westchester parks and private lands, particularly invasive plant species. Antenen will discuss the preserve's ecological stewardship initiative to restore natural habitats, favor native species, and control invasive species. She advocates for a community-based approach to ecosystem restoration, including gardening practices homeowners can take in their own back yards to address these challenges.

This program is made possible through a partnership between the Mount Pleasant Conservation Advisory Council and the Mount Pleasant Public Library.

For more information on this or other programs visit the library website or call 914-769-0548.
