Kids, three to 13, will be invited in on select Saturdays for Family Saturdays at the Lab, and there are courses they can take along with their parents.

“While kids and the Jacob Burns are far from a new concept, what is new is a deeper and more comprehensive commitment across our film and education departments to providing kids and their parents with wide-ranging opportunities to share the powerful medium of film as both viewers and makers," said Executive Director Edie Demas.

Family Saturdays at the Lab will be held on Oct. 1, Nov. 1 and Dec. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. Film Center members can arrive at 12:30 p.m.

The free program is for kids to explore, discover and create, while learning about animation, sound editing and green screening.
