The business, named Best Children’s Music Program by Westchester Magazine, Best Music Class by New York Magazine, and Most Magical Music Class by Red Tricycle, already has locations in Scarsdale and Rye Brook. The 45-minute classes feature a three-piece live band of teacher/musicians.

Each week the children experience music, instruments and language from a different culture. Magnetic art murals are created by the children during the sing-along of well-known nursery rhymes, magic tricks are used to practice numbers and counting and a wheel is spun to reinforce the names and sounds of animals. By mixing original kids rock 'n' roll with adult contemporary music, the band is a hit with the children, their parents and nannies.

The new Northern Westchester location will hold seven classes a week starting September 11 at Congregation B'Nai Yisrael at 2 Banksville Road.

Classes will be held on Mondays (3:30, and 4:30 p.m), Tuesdays (9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.) and Fridays (9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.). Detailed information is at www.songsforseeds.com/ny/armonk.

“We’re very excited to introduce Songs to Seeds to Northern Westchester,” said Dana Fisher, director of the program. “We’ve received so much interest from parents who have heard of our classes in Scarsdale and Rye Brook and were asking if we could bring the program to Northern Westchester.

"We’re thrilled to now bring our innovative and educational music toddlers classes to Armonk, Chappaqua, Bedford, Mt. Kisco and Pound Ridge.”
