Pleasantville Welcomes Cheese Steak And Clam Bar

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Louie & Johnnies Cheese Steaks & Clam Bar will open its Marble Avenue doors Tuesday with a grand opening ceremony.

The restaurant, which also has locations in East Chester and Yonkers, will begin the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. with a ribbon cutting. Scheduled to be in attendance will be Mayor Peter Scherer and Paul Alvarez, Chamber of Commerce vice president.

Former Major League Baseball all-star Cecil Fielder will then sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m. inside the 501 Marble Ave. restaurant. The first 100 visitors will get a free autograph. Afterward, signed baseballs will be available for $40 or signed photos for $25.

There will be a live performance by Eddie & The Starlights Doo-Wop Band from 6-9 p.m. to cap off the ceremony. There also will be events for all ages, such as face painting, complimentary refreshments, a magician and balloon making.
