SOMERS, N.Y. -- The owner of PepsiCo's Somers location is in contract to sell the property, according to Mark Weingarten, who is its attorney.

The update is the latest news for the site, coming soon after PepsiCo confirmed that it is going to move out of the site and transfer its employees to locations in Purchase and White Plains.

The owner of the roughly 200-acre campus, which is near the intersections of Routes 35 and 100, has been identified on the town's assessment roll as PSI Holdings, LLC. Westchester County documents lists a similar name called PSI Investments, LLC.

Weingarten first disclosed the prospect of a sale when he spoke to county legislators at a Feb. 18 committee meeting, video shows.

At the meeting, it was explained that the county, along with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), are required to sign off on transfer for an easement for the property, which is used for a driveway, each time the site changes owners. This was done before in 2006 when the property was last sold, Weingarten explained at the meeting.

The current entity is an affiliate of Murray Hill Properties, Weingarten told county officials at the meeting.

The building is going to continue to be used for office space, Weingarten explained to county lawmakers.

The prospective purchaser of the property is One P Way, LLC, Weingarten told lawmarkers and subsequently reiterated to Daily Voice.

Weingarten declined to comment when asked who owns One P Way. He also explained that the prospective ownership -- it is unclear if he was referring to One P Way or a parent company -- owns buildings in New York City and is larger than Murray Hill Properties.

Weingarten, speaking with Daily Voice, explained that the full Board of Legislators will vote on issue at its March 9 meeting.

Weingarten did not know what the status is with DEP approval of the easement transfer, as he does not represent his client for that action.
