Investor Carl Icahn Thinks Apple Will Enter TV Market

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Though investor Carl Icahn thinks Apple Inc. will soon sell televisions all over the world, including in the Westchester County area, even though other experts say the computer megacorporation shelved such plans over a year ago, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Samsung Electronics Co. currently leads the highly competitive television market, and Apple officials just couldn’t find enough innovative technology improvements to risk entering that segment of the electronics market, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Nevertheless, Icahn believes Apple will introduce a state-of-the-art television in 2016 and an electric car in 2020, according to The Wall Street Journal.
