PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Edward Jones celebrated its grand reopening on Marble Avenue on Wednesday in Pleasantville.
“We are delighted to welcome you here,” Pleasantville Mayor Peter Scherer said, adding that the sunny weather surely meant that “good things are going to shine on this business for a long time.”
Edward Jones provides financial services for individual investors, including college savings and retirement. The office is lead by Matthew Krouse, a seven-year Pleasantville resident who decided to move his business from Scarsdale to the village when he heard the original Edward Jones office was closing.
Krouse's business has been at 201 Marble Avenue since March.
The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce co-hosted the grand reopening ceremony on Wednesday, welcoming Edward Jones as a new member to its organization.
Krouse described Pleasantville as a “great place to live,” and said since moving his business to the village he's discovered “Pleasantville is a great place to do business.”
